Frank L. Reed, Managing Director, Middle Market

Mr. Reed has close to 20 years of experience in acquisitions and divestitures including market valuations, strategy, offering memorandums, transaction negotiations and equity and institutional finance sourcing. His experiences span manufacturing industries serving the Electronics, Telecom, Computer/IT and Electric Power industry sectors.

Mr. Reed is a seasoned operating CEO/President having managed four LBO companies, which incorporated extensive electronics technology in their products, and ranged in revenue from $35M to $150M. Mr. Reed's turnaround management of these multinational businesses with "grow and hold" or "grow and sell" investment criteria for various financial and strategic investors preserved or greatly improved shareholder valuation during his tenure, and successfully fulfilled each strategic mandate of increased shareholder value or shareholder liquidity.

Mr. Reed's transaction experience includes the purchasing, selling and reviewing of over 20 companies with combined transaction valuations of $1Billion. Mr. Reed’s M&A consulting activities with such excellent firms as TMB Industries in Chicago were on transactions ranging in size from $25M to $225M.

Mr. Reed began his career with General Electric where he had 18 years of operating, financial and sales & marketing training in state of the art electronic businesses. His management expertise included products which used state of the art electronic design and manufacturing technology including 20 layer multi-layer and flexible printed circuit boards, through hole and surface mount, sub assemblies and final products fabrication of highly sophisticated electronic products, requiring extremely advanced, automated electronic quality control and reliability testing to achieve MTBF of 8000 hours, which was trend setting in the industry at that time. Mr. Reed received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and comprehensive advanced manufacturing and management courses from the General Electric Company..
