Rishav Chopra, Analyst
Rishav Chopra is an analyst with Sigma Capital having completed his Masters Degree in Financial Engineering and has earned his Masters degree in Physics.
At Cornell, he has exhibited an insatiable hunger for learning advanced financial analysis tools and statistical techniques. Currently, Rishav is working with a team for Goldman Sachs Asset Management on building an Active Long, Passive Short (ALPS) trading model for closed-end funds. He is very passionate about financial markets and keenly follows its interaction with the global economy.
Rishav spent his summer with Barclays Capital helping the firm increase its trading exposure to Inflation and Property indices market. He regularly supported the traders while gaining experience in fixed income pricing and emerging market curve building. He also added value to Barclays commodities business while observing US Power markets and building benchmark indices on S&PGSCI and DJAIG methodology for Barclays Capital Power Index.
In addition to an excellent grounding in analytical and problem solving skills his Masters degree in Physics and scientific research experience at Max Planck Institute, Germany has provided him recognition to Magna Cum Laude, The National Scholars Honor Society. His impressive interpersonal and team skill along with a go-getter attitude has also earned him a membership to Alternative Investment Club at Johnson Graduate School of Management.
